Q. How new are the RV's that I would rent?
All of our recreational vehicles are current-year models. We buy new units every year and use them for up to two seasons. We then sell the used RV's.
Q. What is the minimum rental period?
In most cases, there is just a 3 night minimum (a typical weekend). However, special events and holiday weekends require a 4-day minimum or more. And remember, our office is not open on Saturdays or Sundays.

Q. How can I reserve a rental unit?
It takes about 3-5 minutes to reserve online using our secure system. Simply choose the trailer you want, enter the dates you wish to depart and return, and follow the prompts from there or you can call 316-775-3367.
Q. Does Ramsey's RV Rental require a deposit for rentals?
Reservation Down Payment: We require $250 when you make your reservation. The down payment is non-refundable and will be applied to your total balance.
Security Deposit: We require a $500 security deposit on all travel trailers. The security deposit is refundable, subject to rental terms and condition compliance. It is refundable 7 to 10 business days of return, providing the trailer is clean (inside and outside), holding tanks are empty (We can dump full holding tanks for $50) , and the trailer is not damaged or abused. The security deposit is due 20 days before your departure date.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit cards. The credit card used must be in the customer's name and be swiped at the time of rental pickup.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
Customers cancel their reservation up to 21 days prior to their departure date and receive a full refund of their down payment minus a $50 administration fee. There is no refund for cancellations within the 21-day time period, and your down payment is forfeited.
Q. What times can I pick up/return my rental?
We operate similar to hotels. All departures are between 1:00 - 4:00 PM. You must return the trailer by 11:00 AM on your last rental day.
For example, if you have a 4 day, 3 night rental for Friday- Monday, you could pick up your unit between 1:00 - 4:00 PM on Friday, and you would return it between 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Monday.

Q. What comes with the rentals, and what do I need to bring?
Each coach is rented with factory-installed amenities. Most have a microwave, stove, oven, and a refrigerator/freezer. You should bring bed linens and towels as well as food, cooking supplies, dishes, and utensils - or rent a kitchen kit from us. We provide a full tank of propane, toilet paper, and chemicals for the lavatory, along with all hoses and connectors needed for outside hookups.

Q. Are your RV's self-contained?
Travel trailers have kitchens and restrooms, but they are not equipped with a power source. They are 80% self-contained. If you want electricity, you can connect to a shore power source.
Q. Do I need to refill the propane tank?
No, you can return the RV with whatever is remaining in the tank. We would like to fill the propane ourselves. We send the unit out with a full tank(s).
Q. Should I empty the holding tanks prior to returning my rental?
Yes, Ramsey's RV Rental asks that you dump the holding tanks used in your rental prior to returning it to us. However, you can prepay $50 and we'll dump them for you! If you do not, then you will have to pay a $75 fee.
Q. Do I need to clean my camper before I return it?
Before each unit is rented, Ramsey's RV Rental cleans it inside and out. Vehicles should be returned in the same condition as at departure. The cleaning fee for "abused" vehicles starts at $95 per hour and is subject to change.
Q. Are pets allowed in our rentals?
We do allow dogs in our rentals, but only 2 dogs per rental. Please make us aware if your pets will be camping with you. If any damage is done by your dogs, your $500 security deposit could be forfeited to repair damages.
Q. Can I smoke in my rental?
No, every Ramsey's RV Rental is smoke-free and pet-free. If we discover vehicles have been smoked in (this also includes campfire smoke) or have had pets traveling inside (without prior knowledge), additional cleaning charges will apply. Fees will be assessed to remove odors (including have the fabric shampooed), for the use of flea bombs, and the overnight use of an odor control device. Prices start at $250 depending on vehicle size and condition. Loss of Use may also be an added cost.
Q. What if the rental is damaged while I have it?
You are responsible for any/all interior and exterior damage to Ramsey's RV Rental units during the rental period. That means you must pay for any necessary repairs, whether your at fault or not, including acts of nature (wind, rain, earthquake, fire, flood, etc.) or damage caused by another member of your rental party. Additionally, you will be responsible for Loss of Use and Diminished Value of the vehicle caused by that damage.
Q. What happens if I get in an accident in my rental?
Ramsey's RV Rental must be contacted within 24 hours of an accident. If you are in an accident, first call for medical aid to any person needing medical attention at the scene if you are able to do so. Call the closest police/state patrol office and have an accident report taken at the time and location of the accident. A copy of this report must be provided to both Ramsey's RV Rental when the vehicle is returned, and to MBA Insurance within seven days of the accident.
The accident report form in the trouble-shooting guide must be completed and returned as well. It is recommended that you complete this form at teh time and location as the accident as well, while the events are fresh in your mind. Get names, addresses and phone numbers of all witnesses. Take photographs of all vehicles involved; all persons involved; and the general area where the accident took place. Contact our office immediately at 316-775-3367 if you have any questions regarding an accident.
Q. What happens if the rental I requested isn't available at the time of pickup?
Ramsey's RV Rental reserves the right to substitute a rental of equal or higher quality if the rental you reserved isn't available at the time of pickup. If a trailer of lower size/style of quality is offered and accepted, our liability is the price difference between the vehicle requested and the vehicle offered.
Q. Can I get on the roof of my Ramsey's RV Rental trailer?
No, absolutely no one is allowed on the roof of any Ramsey's RV Rental. Ladders included on rentals are only for Ramsey's RV Rental personnel to access the roof service.
Q. What insurance does Ramsey's RV Rental require for rentals?
Many auto insurance policies will cover you during your trip. It is imperative to check with your personal agent to verify if your policy will transfer over. if this is the case, we'll need a binder issued to us, and no additional insurance is needed. If this is not possible, a Collision Damage Waiver can be purchased from Ramsey's RV Rental for $25 per day.
Q. Is there anywhere I cannot take my RV rental?
Ramsey's RV rentals are not allowed in these locations: Death Valley, CA, between May 1 and October 1 of any year.
Mexico, Alaska, and Canada.
The five boroughs that make up New York City, except to drive through on I-95. Also, our vehicles should not be driven on private, gravel, dirt, or logging roads, beaches, or the Apache Trail in AZ. Violations void the Collision Damage Waivers.
Q. Does Ramsey's RV Rental provide generators for rentals?
Travel trailers are not equipped with generators and are not currently available to rent.
Q. Can I try an RV before I buy it?
If you are considering the purchase of an RV, it is very wise to rent one with the intent to discover the type and size RV that you wish to purchase. Because renting is our primary business, we can offer some sound advice to help navigate your way to the RVing lifestyle.
Q. Do you have "one-way" rentals?
No, we do not have a "one-way" rental option.
Q. What does it cost to stay in campgrounds?
Campground rates vary based on time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally you can expect to pay between $10 and $50 per night. For places to go, check out kansastravel.org, or visit kansasrvparks.com!
Q. What kind of facilities might a campground offer?
A partial list of commonly found facilities might include: electric, water, sewer hook-ups, washer/dryer, swimming pool, playground, BBQ pit, on-site convenience store, etc. Ask the campground for more details.
Q. What if I return my trailer before the date it is due?
No refunds will be made for early returns or late pick-ups.
Q. Is it safe to drink the water from the trailer?
We recommend you use bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water from the tank is fine for washing and bathing.
Q. Can your RV's be used as temporary or long-term housing?
Yes, call for pricing.
Q. What if I have to cancel my reservation?
The $250 reservation deposit is refundable up to 21 days. After 21 days, the deposit is no longer refundable.
Q. How early should we reserve an RV?
The earlier the better! There are times in the year that we may book out weeks (even months) in advance. Typically , we take reservations no more than 12 months in advance.
Q. What if I return my rental trailer later than expected?
RV rentals that are more than 1 hour late will be charged $75 late fee plus one full day at the daily rental rate for the unit. Some restrictions apply.
